200 Words Haiti





In Haiti, Kids are not treated equal that is why Children rights are suffering right now. The problems in Haiti is about almost of children in Haiti are having difficulty life. Only 1 of every 14 kids will survive. They dont even get enough food to live, and survival is the greatest challenge for Haitis children. They lost their parents from HIV so that most of children are among the street without shelter. The problems in Haiti are mortality rate, health care, survival, education and exploitation. As a result of that, they join local gangs to get food but still lack for them. Gangs force them to do crimes and fight with other gangs.


Haiti voted Rene Preval their new president in hope of change. Preval enforced the Political Agenda for Children to attain social reform, improve heath, increase their education, decrease aids and protect children from rape, abuse and exploitation. He also tries to prevent the babies from having aids. (The babies born in Haiti are born with Aids and the estimated number is 50000 people.)


There is also sanitation and quality of water is bad. It is really big problem because a lot of children have to find their own water and purify them.
